The mission of Musicians For Human Rights is to
• promote a culture of human rights and contribute to social change
• improve the lives of individuals and communities in need
through
• building a global network of musicians and others participating in the world of music
who will
• identify the numerous grassroots efforts already in place
• link needs with resources
• perform concerts
• teach individual and group music lessons
• coach and conduct ensembles and orchestras
• compose new works
• consult on effective organization, management, fundraising and community outreach
to
• immerse children in an environment of cooperation, diversity, respect, hope, and nonviolence
• assist reconciliation and healing
• raise public awareness of the gulf between the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and present-day circumstances
• support and strengthen the numerous grassroots efforts around the world
• inspire the creation of new efforts
